Erika Moret is a singer, songwriter, actor, and true talent. Based in Los Angeles, Erika knew she wanted to be a performer from an early age. After studying musical theater at AMDA, Erika shifted her focus to original songwriting. Today she collaborates with the band Fallen Poets in addition to releasing solo music under her own name. Her style is a hybridization of genres—including jazz, hip hop, and R&B—resulting in a sound all her own. “I love so many genres and don’t want to be tethered to just one,” she says. She clearly doesn’t need to tether, as evidenced on her new Ambiguity EP, released in 2020. It’s smoky, cinematic, and meant to evoke images of a modern-day James Bond film. “I want to leave my lyrics on your lips and my melody on your mind,” Erika says of the new album. Mission accomplished.
